A quick video (from stills) of a humpback whale breaching near La Paz, Mexico.

There was a mama and baby whale and the baby was repetitively breaching and the mom would occasionally breach -- one time she did super close to the boat!

I love watching the humpbacks !

What an amazing experience. Swimming above thousands of rays below you and just being able to witness their grace as they go about their everyday lives.

It was such a beautiful and calming experience.

From above, they were jumping out of the water - some looked like they were flying they got so high in the air and went for a long distance. Others looked like acrobats as they flipped in the air (videos to come - so please subscribe).

From under the water, it was just grace.

In today's VLOG, The fourth day on the boat in La Paz, Mexico.
Today we went thru the bay.

And we saw a BLUE WHALE. We attempted one jump and no one saw it from under water so we watched for a short while from the boat and then moved on.

Then we saw some very fast moving common dolphins. We did not attempt to jump for these guys because they were moving so fast.

We motored on after awhile with the dolphins and saw a huge amount of Mobula Rays. The water was clearer and shallower so the video turned out much better.

I lost a flipper :(

Today we went thru the bay. We saw a sperm whale but did not get a chance to try to swim with him. We waited for a little while but then kept going.

Then we found Pilot Whales and spent the remainder of the day with them. The video talks about the experience and shows some videos and a few still images (all unedited) from the day.

7:30 am departure.

We stayed in La Paz bay the entire time and had lots of experiences with False Killer Whales.

In today's VLOG, The first day on the boat in La Paz, Mexico.
The goal for the day was to find Mobula Rays.
6:15 departure with a 45 minute drive. Loaded the boat. We found rays quickly but they were not active on the surface, so we looked for more.

Found another group quite far away and we snorkeled with a few different pods. They were quite a bit underwater but it was really amazing to see so many of them.

After we were done with them, we saw humpbacks in the distance and we boated over to see them. It was a mama humpback and her baby and the baby was breaching repeatedly. Mama would breach on occasion too.

Then they would dive down for awhile and come back up and breach again. We stayed with them for a long time. Then as we were going to find a protected bay (the winds had started to come up by now), we saw mobula rays jumping out of the water. A few people got back in and some of us (me included) photographed from the boat. It was really cool to see them jumping so high out of the water. Challenging to photograph.

Then we headed back to the car. The wind had really picked up and for a part of the ride it was the boat slamming down on the water and then after we could turn the boat a bit, we were between swells and were getting soaked. We were all happy to have our wetsuits on.
